My favourite subject

Well, in the university the subjects are more complicated than school and sometimes results a bit bored like Chemistry or Maths, but there is one subject that I really like: Zoology. In this subject you study since protozoa until mammals, sometimes is a bit difficult because you have to learn a lot of names and characteristics of every single animal, insect, whatever, but you get fun because the contents are interesting and they may be useful in a future.
Another reason why I like Zoology is because you have laboratory activities, for example if you are studying fishes, in the laboratory you can check the fish's anatomy, also you use the microscope, gloves and times the scalpel, it results very entertaining, because you feel that you are a veterinarian, and you are investigating.
But once this subject was really bad for me, it was when I had to study spiders, I really fear them and I had to watch them in the microscope but due to that experience now I don't fear them so much, I hope overcome this phobia.
                                                                                       

Someone who I admire

Marcelo Cañete Molina is a Preuniversity school Pedro de Valdivia's teacher,since the first day that I had my biology's class with him I realized that he was really bright and the classes were really funny because he explained telling jokes, so you didn't fall asleep, due to that the classes were really good, biology was easy to understand for me and I began to learn too much. He teaches biology for PSU and is incredible like in one year you learn very well  the contents of 4 years of school and you get good results in the PSU.
I admire him because he is a veterinarian from University of Chile, and I would like to know a lot of science and be really reognized in my area as him, I really want to be one of the best veterinarians.

For me is a kind of model to follow, so when I get into the University of Chile, I went to see him to tell that I was going to study veterinary medicine, he told me that he can help me, that's really good because the university is complicated and sometimes is necessary that somebody guides you , overall if is a professional who studied the same career that you.

Why am I studying veterinary medicine?

Well, I decided to study medicine veterinary because I like animals and I think that help them is one of most beautiful things in life. When I was a girl I wanted to be a vet, I always was playing with the dogs and cats, and I thought that was only a dream, but now the dream came true, I'm really happy and proud of myself.
My idea is work with horses or little animal's surgery, because always the surgery has caught my attention and with the surgery in too many situations you can get better the animal's health and that's really beautiful, it gives you a kind of peace that it doesn't have price and makes you happy.
Another reason why I'm studying this career is because I had a dog named Shakira, it was my favourite, I was 6 years old when my mom arrived with Shakira at home, and the last year my dog was sick and we take her to the vet, but this man told us that was Ok, so we trust in him but my dog got worst, so we went to the consult of another vet and he told us that my pet had cancer and this disease was very advanced so there wasn't another solution that to pull to sleep to Shakira, I want to be a good vet because I don't want that other animals suffer like my dog.

Well my name is Nayma, I'm 18 years old and this year I begun to study veterinary medicine in the University of Chile, I'm really happy in this new stage of my life. I think that I've chosen the most beautiful career in the world, I really love it (L).

The career is very lovely because help to the animals, whose sometimes are our best friends and company, and the most loyal. In this blog I would like to express my love to the animals and write about my interests and also we can know more about our classmates, about their interests because sometimes we don't have the chance to know each other .
